"Wasp has a crush on his best friend, Interstellar. Everyone knows but her... does she like him too, though?"
CHARACTERS:
Wasp (King-Core)
Torpedo (King-Core)
Interstellar (Voxeott)
Vanadium (Voxeott)
SETTING:
Whitskar
Wasp quickly stumbled into his swim shorts, which were bright teal that matched his hair. He paced around his room, picking up his lifeguard supplies and throwing it into the bag, chucking his whistle over his neck. Slipping on some flip flops, he darted out the door and down the street. He was nearly late to getting to the pool, his boss glaring at him as he rushed to his seat. "Sorry," he mumbled, mostly to himself. Unlike most days in Whitskar, it was exceptionally sunny, with there being almost no cloud coverage. It was a fantastic day for Kolths to come in.
He shifted himself so he sat comfortably in the seat, pulling out his phone. He scrolled through his contacts until he found Interstellar's name.
You coming down today? He texted to her, looking up to see people were already filing in, hopping into the pool gleefully.

Stella was lounging on the couch when she heard her phone vibrate on the counter top. The bounced up from the couch a strolled over to where her phone lay, reading the message from Wasp. Yeah! Was planning to go with a friend today! See you soon! She quickly sent the message, setting the phone back down and running to her room to get her swim suit on. She had already planned to go to the pool today with Vanadium, and knowing that he would probably be here soon made her rush more to get ready.
As soon as the doorbell rang she was already there. She had all her things ready, swiped her phone off the counter and out the door, where Vanny was waiting. She quickly greeted him and they set for the swimming pool, Stella too eager to wait any longer.

Torpedo popped up from the backseat, surprising Interstellar. "Hey Stells!" he said excitedly. He was already in his swim gear and he wore a pair of bright orange sunglasses.
"I hope you don't mind me tagging along," he said. "Vanny was already heading out to the pool, so was I, so I just needed a ride."

Wasp smiled at the text, then put the phone back in his pocket. Suddenly, he felt someone pulling gently on his tail, which hung from the seat. Turning around, he saw a young Kolth looking up at him.
"I... I need help," she said, her eyes wide. "Can you help me swim?"
Wasp smiled lightly at her. "Of course," he said, hopping down. He took one of her hands and guided her to the pool, where it slanted deeper and deeper. Younger kids splashed around happily.
"I'll walk with you, don't worry," he said. He stood behind her, holding both her hands and walking slowly through the water. She giggled happily, and he smiled.
Suddenly he saw a familiar car show up in the parking lot in the corner of his eye, and his head snapped up. His heart hammered in his chest, seeing all the Koltherians that got out.
Great, now she's gonna think I'm playing in the kids side, he thought to himself, letting out a frustrated sigh. He was happy to help the girl, but it was bad timing...

Stella and Vanny hopped out of the car, along with their surprised guest, who was rubbing his nose after he frightening her and she accidentally smacked him. "I'm really sorry! Does it hurt? I didn't mean to hit you! Don't scare me like that!", she had rambled on, red faced and embarrassed.
After they had payed, which of course Vanny said he'd handle it and payed for all of them instead, they found some chairs to lay their stuff in. Stella looked around for Wasp, and found him helping a little girl swim in the shallower end. She smiled, warmed by the sweet gesture. She walked over and poked him on the shoulder.

Wasp flinched, not expecting her to be there so quick. "Oh, hey Stella," he stammered, still helping the little girl. She then started swimming on her own, and thanked him as she went to go join her friends.
"Um, how are you..?" he asked, spinning around to face her. He accidently bumped into her, and they were only centimeters apart. His face blushed a deep orange and his eyes widened. "S-sorry..." He shifted a couple steps back from her, and genuinely hoping she didn't see him blushing as hard as he did...

Stella smiled and backed up a bit so they weren't so close, seeing that it made him a little uncomfortable. "I'm good, just didn't want to lay around all day and decided to get out" she said. She waved Vanny and Torpedo over, wanting to introduce them to Wasp.
"These are my friends, Vanadium and Torpedo." She said, pointing to each as she said their names. "I didn't know Torp was coming along until he scared the crap out of me by jumping out behind the back seat." She added with a glare.
Vanny waved and gave a warm smile, "Nice to meet ya, Wasp. Stella has told me a lot about you. It's great to finally meet you in person." He said, holding his hand out in greeting.

Wasp examined the other Koltherians who approached, and gladly shook hands with them. "Nice to meet you to," he said with a light smile. "I'm er, Wasp, but you knew that already."
Torpedo took off his sunglasses. "Hey there, Wasp," he said casually. He then leaned in to whisper into his ear. "Just call me Torp, okay?"
Wasp swallowed. "O-okay," he stammered, nodding. "It's nice to meet you guys. I've seen you two come down here frequently, but I never really got to say hi because... yknow," he gestured to the lifeguard's seat at the edge of the pool.
Torpedo laughed, nodding. "Yea, we understand. Anyway, I'm parched, I'll be right back." He then wandered off to the nearest water fountain.

Stella smiled as Vanny and Wasp chatted. She had always wanted the two to meet, they were both really good friends of hers. Of course, she had known Wasp a lot longer than Vanny, she still viewed him as a close friend as well.
Vanadium shouted after Torp, wanting something from the concessions. He turned back to Wasp, a friendly smile on his face. "You can just call me Van if you want, I always thought Vanadium was a bit to long to say," he laughed. "My brother always calls me that, so I guess everyone else can, too."

Wasp raised a brow, watching the two exchange a conversation from a distance before Vanadium turned back to him. Wasp smiled. "Sure, if you want," he said, chuckling. "You have a brother though? Who is he?" He asked, curious.

Vanny rubbed the back of his neck, "He's, uh, Antimony. I get most of my looks from my mom, so people don't really believe that we're siblings, 'cause we don't look much alike." He chuckled, saying, "but we are surprisingly similar, for not really growing up together." He chuckled again before asking, "What about you? Do you have any siblings?"

Wasp's jaw dropped. "I... no, I don't have any siblings. Although I guess Stella is basically like a sister to me," he said, then immediately regretted it. Oh how weird that would've sounded if he knew he liked her...
"But wait," he continued. "Your brother is Antimony? Like, the Antimony?" he pressed, raising a brow.

"Yep, the one and only!" He had a huge grin on his face now, "he's my older brother, but most of the time people think I'm the oldest." He laughed, adding,"He gets teased about it a lot, especially from me."
"Enough about me, though. What about you and Stella? How did you guys meet?" He asked expectantly.
